Chef Jennifer Chapman: The Seafood Center & Seafood Oregon


Jennifer Chapman is chef at the Astoria Seafood Center on the Oregon State University Seafood Laboratory campus in Astoria, Oregon.

The Seafood Center is a nonprofit organization established in 1998 to help West Coast fishermen and seafood processors educate people about Oregon’s local seafood. The Center’s goal is to strengthen coastal seafood communities through innovation in, education about, and promotion of West Coast seafood. Jennifer is also the chef for Seafood Oregon, traveling with them to cook all over the country, raising consumer awareness of the quality of Pacific Northwest seafood.  Jennifer is currently working on a new cookbook for the Center, and is actively involved in Slow Food and sustainability issues.
